Bob Costas is a legendary American Sportscaster, best known for his 39-year tenure with NBC Sports that began in 1980. He has worked as a broadcaster for multiple sports leagues and tournaments including NBA basketball, MLB baseball, U.S Open Golf Tournament, NASCAR, NHL Hockey, and NFL football. His work in football can be seen through his hosting for NBC’s Sunday Night Football’s pre-game show, Football Night in America, NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football, and HBO’s Inside the NFL. Bob Costas was the prime-time host of 12 Olympic Games from 1992 until 2016. His work has earned him 29 Emmy Awards, eight National Sportscaster of the Year awards, four American Sportscasters Association Sportscaster of the Year awards, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s 2018 Ford C. Frick Award for broadcasters. He is a member of the National Sports Media Association Hall of Fame (2012) and the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame (2018). Bob has openly discussed the importance of brain health in sports and is a Media Project Fellow for the Concussion Legacy Foundation. He now works for MLB Network where he does play-by-play.
